Good times
Thanks to everyone who played a part in the GTG. The boys and I had a blast! What a great group of folks, very inviting and everyone stayed cool and flexible which was nice. The drive up was well worth it, hope we can make it for many years to come. Glacier would be a fun drive as well! Special than...

Running Goodyear Eagle F1's
I'm happy to avoid snowy/icy/frozen roads if it doesn't detract from everyone else's fun. These things are like hockey pucks on ice. Not having gone b4, I'm not sure how well the roads are maintained/cleared of snow and ice within the park.

Route?
So is the route finalized? I'm going to take the roads we miss on the Big Sky Cruise on my way up to Bozeman, just to check out as much of the park as possible. Doesn't matter to me which I hit when, I'd just like to avoid duplication if possible.

Ready to do this
Being I've never been to Yellowstone, I'll leave it to you guys with experience. It's easy for me to say skip OF, since I plan to hit in on the way up. I'd be fine with Map minus OF + Tower, since it includes what you described as "the most fun part of the drive." Again, without experience...

Test Run?
Was a test run through YNP ever completed? I tried to check through the thread but didn't see anything other than being moved to another weekend. Just curious if it did happen, how the timing worked out.

Park Passes Planning
Stoney, Having park passes ahead and saving time on cruise day makes sense to me. I'll have my pass already as I'm coming up through Yellowstone on the way to Bozeman. Would be great if everyone was able to have theirs ahead of time with your willingness to make the run. Will send you some burger $$...

BBQ
Hey Stoney, I hope to make it there in time for the BBQ, but rolling from Denver you never know. I'm happy to send you some bucks towards the grub rather than being counted on to roll in with something...juuuuust in case we're late. If you want to post your address or send it back to me via email I'...

all right, all right
I'm not a complete foreigner to that area, spent some time there when I lived in Washington (I love Glacier NP), so the question wasn't from a complete idiots point of view, but never made it through Yellowstone. I don't have a ton of front clearance and didn't want an already expensive trip to end ...
