Wheel arches in the rear yes, but the strut towers seem fine…

The car does run and drive as of now.

Rust'd out rear wheel arches and on the hatch door around the window, rust around the lift points under chassis.

Car is currently not running due to idk wtf but it ran and drove fine then just stalled and would not start again.

I would consider parting

Well the timing belt is ok and all the timing marks lined up. When I pulled the dizzy cap the rotor was pointing at like 5 o'clock (3rd cylinder I think) with the mark on the flywheel lined up. Also I get spark at the plug but don't get anything from the primary coil lead grounded to the block? Yeah...

We had a snow storm yesterday. With the gti as low as it is, it pretty much plows. Made it to work but un the parking lot after pushing through about a foot of snow it died and will not start. So, checked for spark (check), fuel (check), dumped the snow out of the air box (check), but still no boom....

update on the passat while in california visiting friends and family we came across all the parts for the b3 at a pick and pull. Thank you all for the willingness to help the VW community is the best!
