so this is my problem i bought an 86 jetta coupe a few weeks back, if ran fine for a while but now the engine will just quit while im driving. Does anyone have any ideas about what might be wrong with it. i really dont know

thanks i will try the twist thing first and if that doesnt work ill pull everything. Im taking it out because 3rd went out. and where can i get the manual for the mk2 vr swap?

Is it posable to remove just the transmision from a mk2 vr6 swap. i have been trying to do so for the last couple of day and it seems it just wont clear the fram. does anyone know of some secret way to twist it out or something because i really dont want to have to remove the engine. please help

Edit for Spence: Nice! Another MK2VR6 in Montana! I love mine! Just got a speeding ticket yesterday because I was going too fast on the interstate :) Got to spend some time in the patrol car too! I might have an airbag too if you need one. i just got pulled over to! for the euro plate on the front....

I saw some of the pics from the ynp looks like fun. ill probably have to go next year. and thanks in glad u like them because god nows my bank account dosnt

Not sure the power on the mk2 if i told u that i was just guessing ( intake, 3" borla exhaust, 262 cams and chip) dont the the engine. its probably only about 200
