Re: Another Bozemanite

I thought I might Walking Dead this thread and bring it back. After some help from a fellow Germanphile I have my self a shiny new Euro sled. Through some searching, I found an e46 330ci with a stage 2 active autowerke supercharger, kW v1 coilovers, Hamann HM2 wheels and a few other goodies. She nee...

Aggressive XC. Not quite freeride ... think all mountain. I've demoed this year's and last year's Rocky Mountain Slayer 50s, Giant Reign 1 and Trek Remedy 7. I've also looked at some of Specialized's options - though they are pretty spendy. Whatcha got?

Re: Project e28

Welp ... In a moment of impulse, I posted the e28 on ye olde Craiglist. Within 24 hours, I had 5 legitimate inquiries. The first guy that saw it, bought it. As of a few hours ago, it is with it's new owner. Blame it on the still needed work or the irrational desire for a MkII GTi or the fact that I ...

MKIII's are easier to find because they are not nearly as cool as the MKIIs ;-)
I'd hold out for a MKII.

I did. I don't think an engine is part of it. :tear:

Re: School me on GTIs

Alright ... so a few more questions: Where does a n00b go looking for a MkII GTi? I've tried VWVortex, though it seems to be almost exclusively east coast vehicles. Craigslist hasn't yielded much of anything. I've even tried some local classifieds in Salt Lake. Are there any regional boards in the n...

Re: 2012 Beetle...

Well ... it certainly looks a lot better than the New Beetle. Though, it will take years of consistent and heavy marketing to remove the whole girl car stigma attached with the NB.
