the man is brilliant, i dont have any before pics but the rust was so bad on the arches that i pulled the mud flap off with my hand and the arch went with it all the way around on the dr. side pas side was close too, and the corners on the rear apron where it meets the body was gone too, shouldnt be long now   for stu!

When you smoothed it what did you remove? Are you relocating the battery and removing the washer resevoir?

 okay here goes, raintray removed, hook brackets for hood removed battery tray removed washer res removed hooks on hood removed, all holes welded and filled smoothed minus coolant lines for heater steering throttle clutch and brakes. chassis legs half shaved, all lines smoothed. also fixed huge rust hole in inner fender where batt tray met. about the size of 2 golf balls. headlight wiring ran into fender well, and through front of core support. all SDS wiring being run out top of exhaust tunnel and under differential then up front of block behind coolant hoses. i know im forgetting some stuff, being a body newb it took me 6 months.....

Where are you going to locate the important items you removed, like battery and coolant resevoirs. Thanks for answering If I end up keeping my Wolfsburg, I want to smooth the bay.
