I think that with any of those motors you can also run SM (Street Mod) which is kind of a catch all class. It keeps the stock suspension mounting points, but opens up the engine to anything Volkswagen offered in any car. Unfortunately with the cam swap my car falls in that class. It's a fun class in Billings because so many cars use this category.

This week i'll start pulling the front core support, fenders, and start finishing stripping the engine bay so I can start the smoothing.

Today I got the fenders off......OMG what a pain in the ass getting the "gunk" scraped off to pull them. The welds that held the lower part of the front valence to the fenders were crazy big and a pain in the ass to grind off. I took care with the passenger fender as it it in near mint shape and wanted to keep it that way in case someone needs it. I don't. The driver side fender isn't in the best shape but if anyone needs it too lemme know.
I'll probably start cutting the core support out tomorrow and alot more scraping of the "gunk"
The really good news is it's looking rust free so far!!!
