Mine wasn't a fuel filter. It was a fuel line going to the fuel rail on some domestic pos. Loosen clamp, and the hose shot right off and I got a high pressure stream of fuel in my face.

Mike - shut it. It was the first time I had done that and I was expecting a little drip or two to come out, not an immediate shooting off of the connector resulting in flammable liquid in my eyes. I'm glad you lived, I'm kind of wishing I had changed mine to experience the gas eye wash. got to love the great learning experience. By the way, Grant if you want to play with some more gas.
