Wobble bolts

Who has used them or knows about them? Can I use them with spacers, and should I expect to get some vibrations? Has anyone oval'd out the holes to make them work?

I have heard of them but, I don't know....Zero personal experience.

What in teh hell is a wobble bolt?

Do you have to use a left-handed hammer to install them?

Do you use them on the loose nut behind the wheel?

Are they used for blinker fluid installation?

Do they need realtive bearing grease?

I could go on here, but I am sure you are serious. I however, am not. But I still have never heard of wobble bolts, fo real.

OKay, I just read your other post. If a wobble bolt is something to make a wheel that should not fit your car, fit your car, you should just get wheels that fit your car. But that is just me. And if I know you Mike, you will just get wheels that are intended for your car in the first place.

Technically, from what I read, any appropriate diameter wheel can fit any car with the correct modification/adapter, and these are legit in situations like mine. For adapting 5x112 to 5x114.3, I think it's the best option right now. If I run them with hubcentric rings I should have no vibration either. Thanks for the thoughts guys.

I'm sure they've tested them, and I can see how they'd work, but the engineer in me says no way I'd put those on my car. And if you get vibration after install, no one is going to buy your wheels with oval'd holes. If a standard bolt comes loose while driving, it has very little play and the wheel will have little to no vibration. If you get a few of these loose, you've got oval holes that allow movement. Movement on a rotating mass leads to vibration, enough vibration and your remaing bolts fail. Not a risk I'd take just to fit wheels.

Spence, yes i run spacers, but not to make a wheel fit, just to push them out. mike, i see your point now.

just have a machine shop cut a new wheel patern in your hubs
