Loose Roof Rack

So I noticed a couple of months ago that my left rail of my roof rack on my wagon is loose I'm curious if anyone knows an easy way to tighten it besides pulling the headliner down, Which I don't want to do for fear of tearing it. Can it be tightnened from the outside or only underneath.

I think that if you pry off the end-caps, one can tighten it up there without messing with your headliner. I make no promises though...I'll dig around and see if I can find out where I'm imagining that from...a thread somewhere on the 'tex about deleting the roof racks I believe.
