The motor would fit in perfectly, well almost perfectly seeing as that's the engine that the S2's came with over in Europe. The wiring is the problem, the 200 uses motronic fuel system and the Coupe uses jettronic. That being said the coupe and 200's fuel systems would have to be merged into each other. As for the plug and play I do believe that it is. The 200's ecu will plug right into the CQ's fusebox I believe
couldnt you just pull the harness and ecu from the 200 and swap all of it into the coupe? just switch that jettronic to motronic since most tuners here(usa) are familiar with it. have you called 034 yet?
I haven't called 034 yet cause I'm not really sure what to ask. "Uh hi, can you take me through a step by step on how to swap my 3b into my CQ, thanks" NO
You have to spilce it cause it doesn't work the way it is in the CQ. only way it would work in the CQ is if I boought an S2 wiring harness, and thats hundreds of euro's.
I'm on MG more than any other websight, I practically live on those forums. Still looking around bookmarking pages that would help. Doubt the swap will happen within a few years but oh well.
you could always just by 034's ecu, they have there own....and all you would have to ask them would be if it would be possible and if so where would you be able to find the info.
