My only issue with that would be I work a lot, in ND. I really wouldn't have the time or resources to do it. I could have it taken somewhere else, if need be. Anywhere remotely close? Maybe even spokane? I know a guy over at Pro Align, in missoula, has a couple of Audi's and he said he could do it...might go with that...just can't have it going screwy going back to ND

It's like 15 bolts, including your CV bolts. Drop it like it's hot and swap.

If you truly don't have the time or resources, take it Import Palace or Mountain Imports.

Alright, I'll give it a go. I just got a lot to do or else I would do it. I'm also planning to put in a peloquin and a new clutch. Just not a while lot of knowledge in transmissions as well. Then I need new front brakes. The list goes on and on. Thinking about a stage 2 ecs clutch, think theres anything better? I'm going for whatever stock internals can handle, so probably in the 275hp range.

So your plan is to blow up the replacement box too? :)

Which is exactly why I was asking if the stock 02j could handle that...

02j can handle that much HP. The diff can't though. It's torque that kills them, not HP.

Oh yeah that makes sense. Am I correct in assuming a Peloquin or Wave Trac can though?

Well thought I would throw an update in here. Finally ended up buying a brand new 02J EHA from BahnBrenner. I also added on a Peloquin LSD. It was a little costly but I needed that car after these many months. Put a stage 1 Sachs clutch in and replaced the front brakes. I had a buddy from ProAlign put it in and he did a great job for pretty inexpensive. But thanks for the input! Glad to have my dub on the road again.
