still looking for a bumper reinforcement/support. if anyone knows or has one from a 00-02 a4/s4 please let me know. cant find one ANYWHERE

You must still trying to source local? And is this the internal crash bar inside the bumper?

ya it is, i've been going to the "euro" shop here in town as they get stuff all the time. they have one from a 98 a4 but im not sure if it'll fit.

My guess is it would. Try asking the boys on Quattroworld, one of them is bound to know.

The S4 bumper has more room between the radiator and the bumper support (metal). I'm not sure how much more room, but that's why it's such a big upgrade for us A4 guys. We can fit a 3" think fmic behind the S4 bumper without cutting anything and we would have to hack away the metal support on an A4 bumper to make a 3" core fit.

But other than that, I'm sure the A4 bumper will bolt right up. The foglights for an A4 are different than the S4 though.

im not worried about the foglights, i was gonna try and make the connectors work with an intercooler sprayer, to cool'em down at the track. so the bumper support "should" fit with some minor modding? BUT....would an s4 bumper FIT on the a4 reinforcement. i would think they are exactly the same......

I dunno if an S4 bumper would fit on the A4 reinforcement, because I've never separated the bumper from the reinforcement before.

I've removed the crash bar from the bumper, it's not that hard. The reattachment was actually done with a tube of heavy duty adhesive, but I wasn't trying to fit it in an A4 bumper. Why don't you have Justin take some measurements on the exposed areas of the crash bars? He has both types in his possession and if the bits you can see match up, then I'm pretty sure the rest will.
