Not to be a Know-it-all-Nelson, but it is 12 gallons. At least mine is, but it is s 97, so they may ahve been bigger in 95.

1995 jetta with a 2.8 or a 2.0 is 55 liters or just a hair over 14.5 gallons.
Plenty of gas to play.

wow, so they did make my 97 tank smaller. Maybe they also made it more fuel efficient....

see i knew i wasent crazy with my gti having a 10 gallon tank it does and it sucked drank that gas like it was a shot

not to poach this thread, but if my Jetta gets 27-28(and running about 10% rich due to the P-CHip), and your gti being somewhat lighter was not getting those sort of numbers, you had a problem. And not one that could have been solved by buying a Civic SI. You could have fixed it a lot chaper than having a monthly car payment!

You know car companies. Its way to easy to keep things consistant.
My '92 Corrado is 18.5 galllons and it loves every bit of it. Oh and try Lucas fuel treatment/ upper cylinder lubricant. I went up 5-6 miles per gallon using 1 treatment

i had seafoamed it when i had it and it auctially made it worse and i had ran oh i forget what kind it was but it never helped it

I was talking about the original Caddy tank that I modified being big 14 or 15 gallons.
The Jetta tank is the plastic one that I cut-up for parts.
I installed the rear disk brakes and will update soon... Jim

Rear Disk Brakes:
Two weeks ago I installed the rear disk brakes onto the Caddy.
The bolt pattern is the same on MK1 & MK3... thanks VW!
I did have to do some relief grinding for the calipers to clear and while I was at it did some more drilling and grinding for the ABS sensor.
I cleaned everything and repacked bearings for now.
This is what both sides look like now!
I have new brake lines waiting for me at IMG... they were able to locate one set left in Canada for me... these are the flexible lines that run from the Caddy body down to the middle of the solid leaf spring axle.
I hope they are up to the MK3 brake line pressures...?
I just was not able to find an aftermarket dual inlet proportioning valve so, I will use the MK3 load sensing unit and fab a mount and mannual adjustment for it.
Once this stuff is in place, I will run new metal brake lines to everything for the rear.
I plan on using the MK3 ABS system.
Any comments or suggestions?
