Do you guys reccommend oem rotors or aftermarket? I'm going to get ceramic pads. I'm sick of dirty wheels.

I appologize for being stupid, but my brain is a little mushy today. An axle set is for both left and right wheel correct?

I would stay away from the slotted/drilled rotors.
First off, you wont really need them, upgrading the pads is going to be more than enough of a increase in stopping power as it sits. Also, the cheap drilled and slotted rotors have a tendency to crack and break. They also wear down your pads faster. The ability to stop just a little bit faster, especially when you probably wont be tracking or even racing your wagon, just is not really worth it.
i would go with straight OEM rotors. they really did to it right the first time, the only reason to really modify that is if your going to truly modify what your going to be doing with the car. If you start autocrossing it, you must change the attributes of the car to match that purpose, yours is a daily driver, thats what VW made the car to do, so id keep it OEM
ECS tuning has some good prices on rotors. like i said, i got mine for one hundred, i could see if he could do the same for you, but i doubt it since it was somewhat of a friend deal if ya know what i mean, if i knew him better he may, ill ask.=)

Yeah I agree, I have been thinking/reading about it and I'm going strictly oem. I looked on ECS too and have considered them, the weird thing is that the rear rotors have worn much faster than the front ones. I think he must have replaced the front ones before. So I think I'm going to look for ceramic pads and oem rotors. I'm going to check with Dana to see how much they are, and I will look online for pads. Yeah if your mechanic will get them for me for that price it would be cool but if not I understand. Thanks.

My question is are the HPS Ceramic or metal Composite and what is the difference really. I looked at the Tire Rack Site and the HPs were Metal Composite, and the Hawk performance are ceramic. I'm just curious, I'm going to be getting something this weekend.

Don't pay for ceramics, unless you are going to race or autox, they aren't worth it. Get the Hawk composites.

Thank you, I just thought ceramic = fewer brake dust.
