3M also makes a trim adhesive glue, comes in a toothpaste tube, we use that stuff all the time. Is the trim going on/over a pinchweld, or just on a flat surface?

Pinch weld. To body panel edges around a door frame. Super thin but with decent adhesive surface on one side.
