Thanks for the answers guys I appreciate it. I think I'm going cup kits, I don't think I'll need to adjust them yet, plus cup kits seem to be a little cheaper. So besides the kit, do I need to get anything else. The kit should come with the springs and shocks am I right? That is what I understood from reading about it. I don't have any sway bars, so I won't need them? I have the stocks now but eventually i'm getting 18"s at some time. I can't remember what I had in my GLI, Think lowering springs only but I rubbed a lot. I don't really want to rub especially if I have anything heavy in the wagon. I'll wait until you are a dealer Aeron and then you can help me get everything I need. I'm hoping I'll have them on before the Yellowstone trip.
Thanks for the help.
The wagon should look pretty cool lowered. I'm excited.

Spend the money Matt, it's spare change in the long run.
Adjustable coil-overs will make life easy for you.
Up in the winter, slammed in the summer.

If you are going to spend the money on coilovers, I would really spend the money. I wouldn't settle for anything less than H&R or KW, or Eibachs.
Like I said, I have a cup kit on mine, and never once have I thought,"man I wish I could lower that more" Or "man I wish I could raise it up"
If you do decide to got with the cup kit from me, don't be expecting it before the YNP cruise. As I stated originally, I have no idea on timeline for ECS. It may be before, YNP, it may not. I wouldn't start giving yourself mental deadlines.

For the record Matt, there is absolutely nothing low quality about V-Maxx. No one ever says anything bad about it.
It's the shit and it's cheap, you're just paying for the name with H&R, Koni, and Eibachs.
Sure they're nice, but V-Maxx is just as nice if not better.

We can all moan about coil over all day here... but who has actually tried them?
Read this thread if you want to know about vmaxx...

Really, suspension wise, it seems you get what you are paying for. No matter how much you may think you are paying for the name, you are not. Look at Shine Racing... $$$$

I appreciate this all guys, but I agree with Aeron, I just want to go a little lowr, kill the wheel gap, give my wagon a little squat. As much as I do think really low is cool, I don't want to go so low that I have to raise it upo to go to the mountain.
Aeron,
To be honest. I probably won't be ready until you are an ECS dealer.
Again,
Thanks for the help guys.

Rennwagen1 wrote:Personally I owuld go with a cup kit over a set of "cheaper" coilovers. But that is just my opinion. If you decides to go with the cup kit, DON"T ORDER IT YET!! I am working on becoming a dealer for ECS....
I will give you killer deal on it!!
OH definately keep me posted on this, I always have to go through a big process to get ECS or AWE headquarters to send me stuff over here in Germany And I am looking at getting the cup kit for my GTI That should be a good match for my H&R sway bars. I have way to much roll at Hockenheim, and after riding in my buddies car with coil overs, I am definately not going to lower mine more than 1.5 inches

Actually the ECS deal fell through. Evidently not enought of my business is VW/Audi/BMW related. I was honest when I filled out the app and told them that about 20% of my work is VAG related. Not enough. And the kicker was that they do not have any ECS presence in MT, other then the internet, so they were really excited at first to have me. Oh well. I would think that a bunch of smaller shops that are loyal would add up to a few bigger shops, you know?
