How big of plates for the cage did you weld to the floor?
Wouldn't want this to happen...
The metal things poking through the floor, are the roll cage.

they are 6x6 1/4 inch thick plates, its an NHRA approved kit for a 69 camaro, they are fully welded to the floor pan over the top of the rear frame rails, and leaf spring perches, its STOUT, the plates are seam sealed and painted over so they are hard to make out in the pics. ^ this guy either skipped or weaseled his way through tech inspection, they shoulve caught that, they are lucky to be alive
Edit* ^^ thats only a 4 point roll BAR it may have held up if he was (rolling) he came down right on top, if it didnt push through the floor, it probably wouldve buckled either way

actually the work weve done so far really wasnt that difficult, its mustering up the courage to actually cut apart a classic. once its off, you figure out how to fix it much easier, the hard part is simply going to town! sorry there havent been much updates on this, Team Matt and Brandon are trying to move into a 70 x 40 shop with 16ft ceilings and a two bedroom apt built in. once we saw this place, we cant even look at out tiny cluttered garage anymore, its so packed in there. Sure to some of you our garage might seem like the greatest, but only 3 short years ago, we were building cars in a parking lot, motor swaps, the whole works. its just time to move up again. Watch this space, in a couple months when we move, the camaro will make huge progress and be finished very soon, and we now have a 56 Chevy station wagon to do for matts dad, so we definately got our work cut out!

keep the eyes here for some updates, my pops comming down today, with a slew of work for us to do. i.e. a half inch fuel line to run with AN fittings, Twin 5 point RCI harnesses the new wheels and slicks, front runners too. well finish the trunk, mount the fuel cell and fuel pump, then we gotta tune the carberator. float bowls way outta wack in it, runs super rich. there is more too, so pics tomorrow or sunday.
