Pics from the wiring diagram below. Yeah, the first time I removed my instrument cluster I was quite surprised to only find 3 electronic plugs attached to it.

Good thing I learned how to read electric diagrams a little in college...

It was time to uncover and get to work!

Removed the seat, vacuumed the floor, and installed the black RGB cable.

Had to pull out the AVH-P7500DVD unit. Gotta run wires to it later.

REPRESENT!

AVG-VDP1 mounts were just a hair too tall to fit under my passenger seat, so I had to mark them and use a Dremel tool.

Nice and flush!

Next I'll have to install the main wiring harness (which includes power, speedometer, reverse, parking brake wires, etc.).

Very nice, I'm interested in the results!

Routed the main wiring harness. What a pain. The harness was nearly 25 feet long. I trimmed and attached the following wires so far: 12v constant, 12v accessory, ground, speed sensor, "reverse" voltage, and parking brake wire. I may have bypassed the parking brake... (on purpose of course!)

Had to remove my gauge cluster for the speed sensor wire. Here are some pics of what it looks like:

Also re-installed the AVH-P7500DVD unit and re-programmed all of its settings.

Only two wires left to run on the wiring harness, then choose a location for the GPS antenna and route the GPS cable. Then mount the vehicle dynamics processer unit securely, and test it out!

Took a break over Christmas to spend time with family and my new toy (Canon T2i baby! ). Started back up tonight and finished the last two wires on the wiring harness (they attach to the left and right negative poles on front speakers, anyone have any ideas why?). Next, I have to run the GPS cable (after allocating an antenna spot).

The unit probably has some sort of audio output function, and the speaker connections are for you to be able to hear them.

An audio output would make sense, but why would I only connect wires to the negative poles on the front speakers? There are not any wires going to either speakers' positive poles.

I would assume it sends the signal through your red wire on the HU, but needs a negative connection going to the unit itself?
