i do believe i rock the distributor, i don't have a vagcom and the guy thats fixing it said it wasn't getting spark. so we'll see when what it is when he digs into more on monday.

after looking into it they came to the conclusion it is the crankshaft position sensor. its running but i need to get it replaced they said. does this sound right?

if it was a coilpack car it would make sense. a CPS tells the pack when to fire from the trigger wheel inside the block. if it cant tell where the teeth are there wouldnt be spark.
