it makes for a great tune (music) as well as power, you could run your stock knock sensor ignition, and you would need the carbs, intake, and a 16v Saab vacuum advance distributor

you can prob use 2 weber 45doce carbs and MSD 6al for spark or delardo carbs. intake manifold may hafta be custom made. Lots of options and good carb setups make some power

a few different companies make the carb manifolds but one of them is crap and usually needs to be decked for a good gasket seal. also the saab dizzy is a direct bolt on in the stock location

Has anyone had any port and polish work done. I am starting my 16valve build and was wondering if anyone has had any work done nearby.

has anyone gone dizzyless on a 16v? is there a block off plate made ? electromotive makes a universal distributorless ignition with a crank sensor , i 'm sure there are others as well. what it would take to make a set up like this work in my gli is going to take some research, and i'm sure some $$$$ on my part. i think this kind of set up with twin carbs is the way i would like to go. but i will probable need to sell my 280z to fund this project. does anyone know someone interested in buying a f prepared autocrosser?

my 16v on standalone is dizzyless, i made a blockoff plate out of diamond plate drilled it, and sealed never had an issue. if making one isnt in the cards for you, a company called NLS (nothing leaves stock) makes a fathom of cool engine parts like that one.
mine can be seen here
For what its worth, crank fired ignition is the beez knees!

the pictures helped thanks , i was thinking i would need to fit something inside the hole left by the dizzy, but capping it is a much better idea. i wish i was smarter. is your standalone running spark and squirt? what is your set up? the engine and bay look great . i like clean.

Will be even cleaner this year!
I spoke with you about my setup when we met at the bozeman GTG its SDS EFI, no laptops etc to tune, can be done on the fly with ease. its easy to learn and get the hang of. very simple. a bit pricey but for ease of use and installation. it evens out. my setup was around 1600 for everything, and yes spark and fuel
