PM me! Let's talk! Let me know what you want for it, and maybe what you are looking for your project. I am prepared to pay for it, but you never know what I might have that you might need....I am sure we can work something out.......
Also, how are the ridges on the cylinder walls? Is it going to need to be bored out at all? Or could I get away with honing it and putting new rings in it, or will it even need it? Were you originally going to run it as is? Any idea on the milage on it?
And the black is perfect! It will go awesome with my silver powdercoated valve cover and oil pan......Let the Raider Nation 16V begin!

Yard I got it from swore it was out of a running car with under 100k miles. The condition of the head leads me to believe they were full of sh*t.....
Factory cross hatching still evident on cylinder walls. Once scratch you can't feel with a fingernail but can see.
I was going to run it as it and see what happens.

now im on the hunt for 1.8 16v pistons, probably a 9.0:1 CR. seen lots of them that i like however everyone makes aba and 9A 2 liter pistons, i want a 1.8 not a 2.0! if i had a 2.0 i would build it but i dont! i have the PL 1.8 and bought every single gasket on the bottom end of that sucka new just lookin for solid pistons rods and maybe crank. anything fellas! im in no rush due to the 10 month motor build im about to undertake, im hopeing to unveil the rabbit 16VT next summer. with 034 management and the works!!!!!!

well I ended up going with the Mahle pistons. they were like $250 somethin. havnt heard anything bad about em.

Not bad find at all. Mahle works just fine.....
