OK decided to start on the hard top for the rear...dug the roof out of a snow/ice drift, looks like it would cover the back if layed sideways, layed my hood on there to see what it would take to go all the way down to the bottom of the existing deck lid,LOTS of fab,way too narrow and too short.I may be able to use the roof steel to make a solid cover for the rear,i want to get rid off the raised portion right above the decklid, problem being the decklid hinges are attached to it.hmmm...

Well theres no going back now, considering several options, one being a shallow "truck" bed lined with hardwood and steel. Can you remove the dogghouse tin without dropping motor?

I would just drop the motor it would be faster u wouldnt half to pull ur top half of ur motor apart and u will have a lot more easy access to ur luggage tray

yet another new concept Im trying out, trying to incorporate some woodwork into the project.Im going to cover all the particle board with a hardwood veneer and stain it real dark inside gloss black metal frame. The front portion will cover my sub box and the rear will be open almost like an open rumble seat, maybe mount an old school wheel spare in there.

Got most of the wood work done and contoured the corners of the frame, started my engine bay cleanup and incorporated a cool air scoop into the rear deck.
