Time to upgrade the control arms, I had a front tire that was cupping really badly. I picked these up from a group buy on Audizine - the FCP Groton set with upgraded S4 upper control arms and full metal tie rods:
Started to pull the front suspension apart:
New FCP Groton arms etc. with all the hardware needed:
Old arms, which actually aren't that bad. My outer tie rod is the culprit I think:
Ordered a set of Toyo Versado LX HP touring tires 235/40 R18 for the summer wheels:
And I also ordered a reman stering rack so I can ditch my leaky rack. On the way, should be here Wednesday.

I need adjustable uppers but I think I'll burn through another set of tires before I smarten up.

Yeah no kidding. And when I get some motivation to get out there, it's either 99 degrees out or I have some other event going on. Eh, it will get done eventually.

Beats 90 degrees with 90 % humidity like it has been here I am sure... I sure do miss that dry summer air out there.

Haven't touched my car other to give a quick spin here an there in a month due to the weather.

You bet Wade, I think I'm making some progress, but the wedding at our house sure slowed things up. The last couple of nights I've been able to get the rack changed out and one side of the control arms:
A reman rack from rackdoctor.com with a 2 year warranty. Installed, flushed the system and bled with a new can of CHF11:
Solid metal outer tie rods installed with plenty of anti-seize and synthetic grease on the threads:
New control arms on the left side loosely bolted and ready to be torqued to spec after loading the suspension:
