Yeah the air filter needs to go like now, its pretty bad.
I will have to replace quite a few things in the engine bay. (timing belt, oil, needs a new coolant resovioer)

how much did you pay for this thing? this is gonna need ALOT of work. lucky for you winter is the perfect time...plenty of time to wrench...and learn autobody!

Its not being garaged... I don't have a garage to store things it will sit outside all winter.
I paid 900 for it and already spend 100 more. This is going to get really freaking pricy

if you want it to be "better than new" like you said, it gonna take thousands of dollars.

very pricey! i have about 6k into mine and see prolly twice that much to get it to where i want it. welcome to the world of das auto....no matter what kind, rings are always expensive..lol

Yeah I'm not going to send it to "better than new" I'll make it a nice reliable car, not to mention FAST! But I'm a highschool student a nice car isn't worth it. This needs some loving but its a good place to begin my mechanical training haha

Who wants to help put a 20vT engine in the CQ!? I'm not going to spend all this money and waste all of this time trying to fix things that others ruined. I want this is the CQ so bad!

nobody showed me how to do anything, just do lots of research and get to work, its the best way to learn anyways. pretty soon, youll have a wealth of knowledge stem to stern of the car in question. soon youll know what the torque specs for the entire car are (and others) the knowledge sticks then youre a gear head
