just need to give switched power to one wire, get a cat back exhaust "recomedations:???? and drop in the radiator. oh and mod up a return fuel line

well suprise suprise, nothing yet, the weather looks awesome but go outside and get nailed with very chilly 30 mph gusts of nasty ass wind.
it is looking better however, cant figure out a couple things with the fuse box, the wires in the cowl that switch on the computer and knock box for some reason dont have power, so i think ill just find a switched 12v source tap it and fuse it and call that done, still cant get it to run tho, half tempted just to scrap the whole cis e and run the pig on megasquirt, but then it will be even longer before i can drive it and fix more. so im open to suggestions

Cool!
Question, what is this thing?

Looks like the idle air bypass, but is that what it is? Is the circled part a little air filter?

the piece in joes red circle is the idle air valve, normally there is a line that runs from that to the airbox, as well as the larger K&N filter i put on the crankcase breather. when its running nothing seems to be affected so it helps keep the thing lookin a little cleaner under the hood, until i run it with MSnS and a turbo
the tranny input shaft i believe is a different style than where it slides onto the clutch because its just spinnin makin nasty noises when i try to move the car, so the tranny will drop and new clutch/trans will comence when i find some 100mm cabby axles
sure stoney come on over for some inpiration

na yea just give me a ring at 366 3814 and i tell you how to get to my place its super easy to find with all the dubs around the house

Hmmm, I am suprised it will idle like that. I would think the unmetered air coming from the idle valve would make it idle so lean it would die, but if it works, cool.

8v trans and 16v clutch?
If so I may have the clutch disk you need in my garage somewhere.

You should make a trail of vws on street corners leading to your house

. I'd like to come check it out, I wish I could have been there for some of it. I need to get in on some of these projects and learn more in depth engine stuff. Call me if you need some help with the tranny. I can hold dem wrenches
