hmmm.... do I really need an objective to VAG my car? Ive never done it and would just like to see how shes running... or is that even possible?

It is sometimes interesting. There are codes that don't trigger a check engine light, but are stored, and then there are the little programming changes like I mentioned in the post above.

Vag-com question I forgot to ask you Joe... Can Vag-com measure your boost and various performance aspects of your car?

It can measure boost curves, but what do you mean as far as "various performance aspects" goes?

So it can read what you spike at? I guess thats all I really wanted to know.

Yea, it can log the MAP sensor, we would just have to convert the units to something meaningfull. There may be another "boost" sensor we could log too.
Only problem is, my laptop battery is toast, so we are going to need a really long extension cord.
Do you have a laptop?
If so you can download the software from ross-tech.com, and borrow my cable.

Do you not have a boost gauge? Well, Im not completely sure if this answers your question or not, but what I know for fact it can read is what your ECU requests and the acutal boost it recieves, it is highly accurate and a good way to see how your car is running or how your software is performing.

Sadly I dont have a laptop, but my roommate does, so maybe she'll let me borrow it sometime.
