Heavier foot would account for some loss but literally missing about 250 miles per tank! the return is the stock one used with the regular fuel system. so odd!

I'll betcha it's leaking out the pump or the ring up top of the tank. The gasket was rotted pretty good.

Go drive that thing around and have someone follow you with a flamethrower, and see if it is leaking fuel somewhere! But seriously, wouldn't you smell it if you were losing THAT much fuel?

Yeah, no smell, i took it for some corners the other day when Cory and Tony were in town, and the in tank pump came off the housing and i lost fuel pressure, so when i took it out of the tank, it didnt appear to be leaking at all. the main pump seal was leaking so i replaced the gasket and snugged it all down. Also replaced those rubber cushion bolts on the pump frame. all this was done before i realized the very poor MPG. On my way to work one morning, i noticed the fuel and engine temp guages were extremely low looking, a took the car out of gear and coasted, and for whatever reason both guages shot up to where they were supposed to be, so i stopped to top off the tank, and it took 9 gallons just like the guage said it would.....? so its dissapearing somehow! ive ran the pump on the lift, and ispected the whole system no leaks, man im baffled by this, as is my gas budget!

Sometimes it's the simple solution that's missed. Every indication is that the motor is not using more fuel. You've verified the tank is actually going through more fuel. Therefore the fuel is going missing somewhere between tank and motor. Perhaps the leak only occurs at high pressure so at idle you don't have an issue. Baring a interdimentional worm hole in your gas tank, it's got to be leaking somewhere.

You're probably more deserving of the 16v, cus you've been on here longer. But come on share the love I've never had one before!

I had the sai solonoid plugged in, but had a cut wire in the ecu loom (from stripping it down) now the code is gone and mileage has seemed to improve, time will tell
