It's gonna be a while until I am completely settled in. right now, almost everything is in storage. So, until I get a garage to work in, there it will stay.

So I broke down and got a big storage unit for the bug and all my tools. Spent the morning yesterday moving it all off the trailer and into the unit. Next off is cleaning up the engine case to ship to a friend toi have align bored and thrust cut. Anyhow, here's a picture of the "shop."

That's what I have been building projects in for years now. It gets a little warm late in the day. But as long as you have power you should be fine.

Oh and by the way I'm building a 69 Beetle in my shop (aka storage shed). So a build is possible. I hope to have it running in a couple of weeks. What are you planing for a motor? Something hi performance or something to cruise in? Good luck with your build.

Engine is gonna be the same as what came out of her. 1776 with a scat c45 cam(same as an engle w120), scat counterweighted forged 69mm crank, scat 12lb lightened flywheel, the o.e. 043 heads that came with the engine, stock rockers with swivel foot adjusters, and dual weber 40's(eventually). Compression ratio will be around 9.5-10.5:1. So this baby, even though it's low, it's gonna haul ass. Only thing I really need to make it a working shop is a portable generator. That way I can run my parts cleaner, lights, and air compressor.

Got the case cleaned up. Next is to send it out to my machinist. But for now, got some parts cleaned up. A few teaser before and afters. Will update more when I get more parts cleaned up and deeper into the engine.
Case cleaned.
