This weekends project: Timing belt job. Been a few years since I've done this and had to learn how a new front end came apart. Only took me 10 hrs, but it went well and I had no trouble falling asleep afterward. Also, changed the oil and gave it a real audi filter and some Mobile 1. It had a Wix filter on it, so you can imagine the oil was standard crap. Swapped a set of NGK Iridium plugs in and a pair of Silverstar H1's for my low beams. Now I have nice white light, instead of a dim yellow glow at night. After all the work, it runs great and should be ready to go for the rest of the winter.

Nice, I am glad it worked out. And you're welcome. I noticed you came into town under the radar to avoid the beers you owe me!

I had to come grab it quickly on a weekday evening. I'll happily buy you a beer when I'm back in town for our January tournament. Thanks again for the help

It was after 8 pm. I figured you were in bed.
And I did do the thermostat too. Left the dampner and idler arm for the next time.

Santa brought some gifts for the DD.
New all weather floor matts, front and back.

I got them in clay, they match the rest of the interior perfectly.

Also picked up a Packasport box. Scored this one with only a couple scratches a bit a fading from a guy in Bozeman for $200, they retail for $900.

Nice. The all weather mats were one of my first scores when I got my A6, love em! Also I thought it's funny that you still have the All American plates on. They must have gave you a good deal. lol

They treated my well, but honestly I just haven't got plates yet. No reason to mess with it twice.
