I was going to take the carpets out and pressure wash them and then clean the the floor very thoroughly. Then if that doesn't work completely i will poor coffee grounds all over the carpet and let it sit like what kevin286 did with his BMW.

Hey thanks for the info, but i don't usually buy parts I just buy crappy cars and part them out. You get a lot more bang for your buck that way. And I'm sure there's a beat up mk2 2 door golf with my name on it out there somewhere.

I decided it was time to get rid of the cat smell in there, so i took out all the seats and carpets. I deep cleaned the floors and replaced some of the carpet padding (i used a foam camping pad, thats what i had laying around). Then i took the carpets to the car wash, pressure washed the hell out of them, let them dry, and now it doesn't smell of cat anymore!! And when i bought the car it didn't come with keys... Well guess what i found under the carpet!!

Hey thank you! But from what I've read my mk3 tank will fit, but if it doesn't i will definitely grab that from you guys. I end up in bozo every once in a while. What i really lack though is cool 4x100 wheels, so if anyone has a sweet set for a sweet deal let me know! And the previous owner apparently thought the rear bumper was supposed to be removed by force, so he tore the skin right off... I kinda made it work but its still not quite on there perfectly.

Does anyone know the exact weight of a mk2 2 door? I can't seem to get a straight answer from the research I've done. From what I can gather it seems the mk2 and mk3 2 doors are about the same weight.
