Did a little late night maintenance:

new brakes
oil change
fixed sunroof and door handles
new battery cables
remedied a few oil leaks
spark plugs, cap, and rotor

Next on the list is timing belt, plug wires, and valve cover gasket. Should I replace the little timing chain in there too? I feel like its making noise but not totally sure... Also, I need to go on the cheap for spark plug wires. $120+ is way to much! do any of you have experience with KMM brand wires?

Definitely a good buy. The car is bone stock and hasn't been screwed around with. Gas mileage isn't bad so far either. Even with 22 yr old spark plug wires!

so... this car is driving me crazy! I didn't have this many problems with my 80's audis! Sometimes when you first turn on the key you hear a bunch of what sounds like relay clicking under the back seat and then the windows don't work for ten minutes. When the brights are on, the cluster freaks out and none of the guages work. sometimes they work fine. the in cab heater fan control was melted and screwed up so I replaced it with my spare. It now only works sometimes when you go over bumps. Looks like I'm going to be chasing some wires! Good thing the car came with a bentley.

there is a central control module for the windowss, and they fail alot!!! used to have a spare mike gave me but i sent it with my b3 there are write ups on how to wire it on your own, its one relay inside that box that fails, lots of info out there!
