My father in law and I built the body from scratch. It is all steel shaped by hand. I am really getting into metal shaping and will be attending a class in late October to learn English wheel. My father in law and I built a large shop and we over the years have obtained a lot of tools. The 944 was a project in the works for a long time every weekend all weekend long. At the metal shaping class this October I plan to replace the fiberglass on my Formula car with aluminum.YASHA7FOLD wrote:Lovin the 944.

I toatally agree about Porsches and the Boxter. Everyone makes fun of them, but they are really fun and an amazing car on a budget. I'm not the best at working on my own stuff in fact I suck at it. However I have some great friends who are willing to help me and I greatly appreciate them for everything they have done for me.mystic98802 wrote:Yeah it seems like we are far and few between in these parts. I grew up with Porsches. My dad had a 356 Cab(Before
I was born) a 912 and a 72 911 Targa. I loved that car. I worked at a Porsche dealer so i wafortunate to drive every model. My favoritwas the 911 gt3 and the cayenne turbo S and of course all of the 911s. Had so much fun at that dealership.
I have always loved Porsches and am trying to get one for myself.

I still need to pay off the current car but I for sure would be interested after that, Which would be a year out or so.
