I would throw the 1.8T that is here at the shop on it for sure. I know that thing is putting down some HP, now we will just see what the 'Judge" has to say about it. I would also like to get my rabbit on it, but I will do that another time....

Count me in depending on the weekend. Even though I'm totally stock except the window tint, I'm curious to see what I'm at now vs my mods next spring.

I bet it would put down more power than you thought it would.....

That's what I'm curious about. They are supposed to have less drivetrain loss plus the factory understated the BHP a little. Dion from TKO was raving about them when they first started rolling out the MKVs in Seattle. I think it was about 197 WHP on a dyno when VW claimed 200 BHP. It would explain why my MKV feels like a chipped MKIV. I thought the MKV and MKIV would be about the same since the MKV is 10% more power and 10% more weight, but I can say that my ass says it feels faster than it claims.

Anyone know what the cost is going to be for the dyno?

Aeron is too busy giving out free rides at the autocross so his times are faster.

So I hear. I talked to him behind his GTI right after he gave someone here in the forums a ride during his run and he mowed a chicago box. I missed seeing his run by about 2 minutes. :\

How many joy rides did you give out at the SCCA event, Aeron? Did it help with the extra weight on the right side?

Actually, yes. I originally thought les weight = more speed. But I forget that the auto-x is not about speed. So more weight on the right completely settled the car and I dropped like 2 second off my time the first time i took spece around. (wait I plowed the CB with him, so maybe it was the next run)Anyway, passengers are a good thing I have figured out IF you can't corner wieght the car in the first place. What originally seemed wierd was, the more weight I added, the faster my times got, even if I could actually feel the car getting slower.......

I gave out rides on 4 of my 6 runs. I think Spence liked it. I believe he was impressed with how the GTI handles........she old and ugly, but she gets the job done. Just like a russian hooker.
