Sorry for taking so long on the pedals and hydro clutch stuff. Don't worry it's not going anywhere, its still in the passat.

No worries benno, it's slow going on this project. Should have some time coming up to get the motor pulled and start working on the swap. Maybe in a few weeks I can make a plan to come grab them from you, whenever you have time to pull it.

Leifro I'll have to get that MKIII fuel tank and lines etc. from you.

Finally, sucessfully *unhacked* the PO's lighting mess. Used all new wire, relays, heat shrink, and weatherproof heat shrink butt connectors where I had to.
  1. New Ecode housings w/ city lights
  2. New 9004 H/L bulbs and center H3 bulbs
  3. Wired in new H3 connectors
  4. Relayed the high and low circuits
  5. Rewired the center high lights, used weatherproof connectors so I can remove the grill easily
  6. Wired in city lights to the parking lights
  7. New twist/lock pigtail connectors on the front parking lights, from a NB
  8. New fog lights and bulbs (China specials, glass lenses)

Love the relay in those lights. Rude people who don't seem to ever dim their lights on the interstate, usually will when I hit them driving lights :)

Thanks guys!

Started getting the interior put back together last night. I had taken all the carpets, seats, belts, sound mat etc. out, sprayed and dried each piece, and then each got a quick once over with the shop vac. Sprayed/cleaned and wiped down the interior as well while it was disassembled.

Didn't take any pictures, but it's much cleaner and doesn't smell now.

I need a new front carpet, the old one has holes in it from bad PO speaker installs

Dash and cluster is back together. Power to the trophy Recaro seats need to be worked out...I have zero 12v for some reason. Maybe a missing or bad relay I suspect.

All that is little stuff while I continue to collect swap parts.

Are you thinking about keeping the mk2 cluster? Do you have any plans for that?

I'd like to keep it as MKII as possible. But I don't currently have a plan to keep the cluster. I'm sure it's possible though.
