I've never had a car that just crumbles apart in front of you. Everything is breaking. I did find a quick and easy fix.
Step 1: dump 5-10 gallons of gasoline inside the car.
Step 2: add 5-10 gallons of diesel fuel in plastic containers
Step 3: Leave a door open
Step 4: Get a flare gun
Step 5: Shoot the flare into the open door
Step 6: Use a semi automatic fire arm to shoot at the car until the barrel of the firearm melts.

If you follow these easy steps any chronically problematic car can be fixed with minimal effort and little mechanical experience.

I think I had the same issue. I ended up replacing the coolant flange and putting a new female connection on the heater hose. Pain in the arse. My condolences to you, it sucks not having a dependable vehicle.

Hello everybody. Does anyone know where the buzzer is that goes off when the car thinks the door is open. Both drivers and passenger side continuously are going off. I don't feel like putting the time and money into fix this problem. So I want to find that buzzer and smash it with a hammer(after i remove it) It needs to die. The car needs all new boost tubes already plus other things. I'm just trying to keep it running. It still drives great.

i think it can be disabled with vag com, its in the cluster, and have to kill it internally and electronically. there is a problem with your door latches, dont leave the keys in the car for even a second, it should tend to lock itself

I know its the latches I just don't feel like doing it. i just want to kill the buzzer. And I've left the key in it once and never again since the issue started.

The passat demands more parts. Have two new boost tubes coming, new MAF, throttle body gasket, and im ditching the K&N oiled filter for a AFE dry filter. I seem to be finding more info regarding oiled air filters and the possibility of the oil particles getting picked up from the air flowing through the filter and getting on the MAF and causing issues. Might explain why every time I cleaned the filter and MAF(with that cleaning spray) it would run better for about a week before it would return back to normal(rough running).

To add to the list. the clutch doesn't grab until the pedal is all the way out. The car has about 112k on an original clutch. I'm pointing toward the clutch disk being worn out. Possible hydraulic issue??? Any ideas?? What brand of parts are not too expensive for something like this but not junk. NAPA seems reasonable price wise. This will be the last thing I ever plan on doing to a car. I'm almost averaging $1500 a year in up keep. I'm over it.
