well I decided when winter begins I wan to tear down the Passat an refresh it I have the usual oil leak from the oil cooler/filter an a leak from the upper oil pan. I wanted to also pull more power with the nos. before the end of summer a friend of mine did a high way run with his GTO LS6.0 manual. I was very impressed with the 2.8 for keeping up on his bumper. I keep watching the video in disbaleef. with a little help from audizine. I found out the piston caps on the S4 or fordge an the 2.8l are not. but but we share the same rods an crank which are fordge. In that case I have decidege to finsh the fordge processe on the rotating assabley. with more reasuch I have noticed I am in the unknow with this engine. not many people have take this motor this fare with NOS. most people get the PEZ supercharger an call it a day. so I have decided to see where or how far this motor will go until it says NO more. heres some pics of the start.

Yes that is Dave (veges) from on here with the RS6 lol oil changes are fun :unibrow:

the angle is like that because we are removing the engine with the trans still attached. (perivouse learning expseriouns on a S4)

almost lol

an there it is. I recomend if anyone decised to take out the engine to do it that way all in one piece seem to work easyer an easyer to work on. the B5 chassie mush have been built to be pulled that way.

Image
we were getting ready to separate the trans an engine an the power went out on us. we grab some flash light an continued tho. :ninja: :ninja: :unibrow:

time to clean the area lol :) :)

1.3.5. group shot.!

2.4.6 group shot
decided not to put indivaguels on here lol
Image
looks funny with out the heads on lol
Image
all six lol. an I learned when I pulled the pistons out that they are they style of piston rod that is made a whole from factory an broke in the assably of the engine. 1 of 1 pistons lol. (hope that made since tho)

2.4.6 open holes.
so the fun begins a slow prossece ordering parts in but in time it will be alive again. upping the shot an adding water meth :smoke:

the 2.7TT swap has been done in a past up north in canada. I was looking over the build thread an its a nightmear! when the RS6 was in the garege I thought about a motor swap but I was betting dave would notice a slight decreass in power if I did that lol. an yes I do have a video my friend took while he was in the car videoing. we figured we would try to match the weight of the GTO lol. kinda got close tho Tim is a big boy lol
