I have a nice puller set with slide hammer if you want to use it.

Hmmm, might have to swing by and take a look. It needs to hook on the inside of the bearing(where the cage and ball bearings live)

I got the stereo in and working. It's nothing special, entry level JVC media receiver. The old stereo only had a rear channel out that I ran the sub on. Having actual sub out and controls made a huge difference. Now back to trying to get those bearings off.

I finally got the bearing off. I made the puller stronger, and probably went through six hooks for it. But the puller didn't work all the way. It got the bearing far enough out to where I could cut it off. The other one came out just fine. The tranny is back in the car, one side is back together. Getting close, unfortunately I have side work that I have to do after work this week and I'll be up in West Yellowstone for side work all weekend. maybe she'll be done in two weeks.

Well got the rear end/tranny all back in, shifter hooked up both sides of the brakes back together, tranny refilled, new ground strap, new starter bushing, engine is bolted back in. My buddy and I went to bleed the brakes and the first bleeder screw snapped off in the wheel cylinder..........
This weekend I have to go back to West Yellowstone and then get ready for the next side job that I have next weekend...

The bug is back on the ground. Running great, purrs like a chicken. I think I tore one of the axle boots seems to be leaving a nice puddle. I need to adjust the new steering box it has a lot of play. It is in need of a front end alignment.

So an update from last year. After the steering box(cheap Chinese box) was swapped I tried to adjust the play out of it but nothing. 1/2 turn in either direction before the wheels start turning. The shop that did the alignment had no luck adjusting the play out either. The leak ended up not being the boot. I think i broke the seal on the passenger side cover of the trans when i was beating the bearing out. And the starter still worked intermittently. I have a good used German steering box and starter coming from Brax hopefully today.
