Re: Projekt Uber Geizig 1972 VW Bus Deluxe 9 Passenger
Major progress; injectors (post-clean) showed up today.

Installed the injectors and tried to start it, and it just stumbled like it was before. So I ran through the wiring harness again, and traced a wire back to the ECU that seemed out of place. I disconnected it, and the mofo started right up and ran!! After a while of messing with the throttle cable and setting the timing to 7.5 BTDC it runs really well, and starts right up every time.
The cuplrit was this little (disconnected) wire right here:

There's no mention of another wire like it in the Bentley, but when tracing it for continuity I found that it goes back to a terminal on the double relay. So I was actually just grounding out the circuit, which was why I wasn't getting any injector pulse, and was also why I wasn't getting the fuel pump to run with the ignition on and the AFM flap pushed in.
So, now onward. I can't seem to get the clutch to fully release, not sure what's going on there. I tightened up the clutch cable adjuster fairly snug, and it still will not fully release the clutch with the pedal pressed to the floor. Time to do some research.
Video coming soon...

Cheers!

It's not how fast you go. It's how well you go fast.

Way to go Mike. Heard some gears grinding. Now for a clutch adjustment. Nice
