running awesome! ready to hit the road but need to get MT plates first, I'll try to get a ride down and do that Thursday, also found a drift in my timing by a few degrees, unknown how much it was moving under load, seems the MSD tech's don't know much about there DIS-2 running on stand alone, they told me to run it on the falling edge of the ignition output waveform, I just bought a DIS timing light, could only set base timing with the old one, I decided to check it, so with the timing locked at zero it was still moving several degrees, hum.... changed to rising edge for the ignition and reset base timing and now it works perfect, no drift! go figure, it may not have been a big deal until I started running high boost and didn't get the retard I though it was, anyway long story, sorry! just a bit of info! off and running again, yea.........!

drove it about 20 miles, running much better than before, ether the added compression or porting makes it pull better before boost! and feels a lot faster at 10psi than before as well, hell it feels fast enough a 10psi period, didn't want to run any higher yet, needs more miles first, just wanted to load it a few times to seat in the rings, I'm sure 20psi will be a kick in the a$$, and I feel more confident in the timing as well when it's time to test out some real boost, time to pray to the tranny gods!
PS: I will be staying in Butte this month for several weeks for medical reasons, but should make it easier to show up at a GTG on the weekends, let me know whats up?

150 miles and flawless, running better every time I take it out, hit 12psi a couple times, fantastic exhilaration, everything just seems stronger with this motor, must be the porting, valve springs and better compression, 9:1 instead of 8:1 probably made the most difference, started running a little cooler as well, a good sign it is breaking in, I'm convinced 20psi is going to be plenty of fun, save 30psi for the 02m, I need my car right now so don't want to push the envelope at all, but I know it's there when the time comes for the trans, also want to find a truck to tow it to the tracks for racing, then the gloves come off!

to me it sounds like a jet engine in the cab when cruising, step on it a little and the pitch gets higher like a 737 punching it for take off, then the bypass closes and boost starts to build, it makes a loud rushing noise like afterburners kicking in! you hear the exhaust wrap up, kinda like a sport bike with aftermarket exhaust on it, when you shift, it's like a steam locomotive starting out, releasing the built up steam pressure, vary cool sound's! probably will never put a radio in the car
