Thanks guys, yep those were some gears grinding

The clutch isn't releasing fully, so I'll need to adjust the cable, and hopefully I have the correct clutch, TB and everything will adjust out correctly.
Jason- It was making a hell of a racket, and it turns out because I have a busted motor mount, the bottom of the trans was knocking against the skid plate. So, I pulled the skid plate in prep to install a passenger motor mount and snub mount. Probably order those next week.

Ahhh fun fun.
I've been debating about ordering new mounts all the way around just to get out of the way!

Mike,
Get this thing on the road! It will be good for the soul, and you can start meeting more bus people. Bus people are the best, they are alot like Corrado people, but friendly, helpful, and better looking.

Haha, agreed. I am soooo close...but, well, something is up with the clutch, and it won't release. I am almost sure now that I have the clutch disk in backwards. I didn't see any clear markings that said "FW" or anything so I just bolted it up like I thought it should be, apparently the wrong way. Anyway, it's an easy fix, but I have to pull the motor. I need more practice anyway, plus it gives me an excuse to go buy an ATV jack now hah.

I would say the jack is a must.

Pulled the motor, clutch was in OK.
Started to take a closer look and then test fit the clutch disk...uh it was sticking an binding up. Well after a bit of wire brushing and a little grease it was smooth. So, motor goes back in and it's (mostly) bolted back up, and the clutch works now. Took it for it's first spin down to the corner and back
Still have a bunch of work to do, but the bulk of it is now behind me

Try to get some of it done by the Euro Show

Aww, the little fella finally gets to go for a spin. So glad it's out of that field and back on the road. Good work Mike!
BTW, if you go with the orange vintage plate, or find a matching set of '72 plates to reuse, you can save a quite a bit on registration.
