Re: 1980 Caddy project - now with vroooms
Progress, and setbacks.
Bumper is pushed in...before:

After:

Water pump and thermostat are in progress. However, it is a bitch to replace. I found that I had to get the lower timing cover off. To do that, you have to remove the top cover (easy) the crank pulley (had a bolt that did not want to come out, drilled and removed) the pump pulley (got lucky on those bolts) then I could remove the assembly.
With the assembly out, 5 bolt heads snapped off when trying to separate the pump from the housing. I got those out except for 2 of them. I'm thinking I'm going to get a new pump with the housing, instead of just the pump. Maybe I'll just drill the old ones out and tap, I dunno

I'm probably not going to find snowflakes locally, or RA's. But I'll keep looking.
Tires are getting popped off today, and I'll see what my options are.

Check out Tire Rack. That's the place I got the tires for the Beetle. They typically have the odd ball sizes.

Thanks Wade, I'll check TR out. I've gotten a couple of good deals there as well.
