ACTUALLY, there is a small update, car was scrapped. sorry.
Just kidding, we were unhappy with some of the things so before we get too far along on the body work, we going to go back and redo some of the little things. im in the process of removing all the seam sealer on the car, one to save weight and 2 the stock shit is ugly. then were going to go back through the wiring, its all right and works fine, just a little messier than were prepared to live with, this car WILL be on the street SUMMER 2010.

thought it might get a rise
again, as said much earlier in the thread, we want this to be a very presentable car, and we started getting in a rush, cutting a corner here and there, and we just dont do that, so back we go. She may not drive the cruise on YNP but it will definately be a part of the weekend. We are humpin to get it to go on the cruise though. the outside of the body is finished bodywork wise, now were just going back through in the engine bay a little bit, and then the engine room, we did add even more roll cage, a bit more front-back bracing, and stiffened it up even more. got a few more rolls of welder wire to throw in it. stitch weld ALL the seams. i dont know if well strip the whole underside of the car, like we did his MK2, but we may get a bug up the ass and do it. another hurdle were running into, is going to be the sound deadening. we want to do a few layers of a dynamat type stuff, but its just too damn expensive. Anyone know any alternatives? Will try to get an update here soon for you guys, we been slackin due to lack of motivation, trying to move to a bigger better place. maybe soon

weve taken so much weight out, i dont imagine putting back in a little will hurt anything. it needs to be tollerable on the highway.

We just need to line the front firewall, and the rear "engine room" to help keep out some of the engine/road noise.

Man, i'm glad to see it's still being worked on. I remember when you guys were gonna do the car on like a $100 dollar budget. And now it seems like you're going with a show car. Sound deadening? who needs that stuff? just get a loud stereo!

well can't wait to see some pics.
