Well....... Looks like I will be finding a new motor

Lost oil pressure and got towed home. Dropped the pan and found a piece of thin metal 2 or 3 inches by 1/4 inch and a lot of sparkles. Replaced the pump anyways and still no pressure.

It was fun while it lasted!

Not sure.... Ill soon find out. Should have it out in the next couple days. I hate coolant.

Kinda looks like it could be a rod bearing, but that piece is so small it doesn't look like it. Do you have any excess play in the bottom end, like loose caps or rods? How about the thrust bearing or a piece of crank bearing? If you are lucky maybe you just have a bad crank bearing or it spun just so far to block the oil hole, thus the loss in pressure. Either way you should pull the crank and have it mic'd and check the bearings. That's easy and cheap - no pulling the head or pistons and seals are inexpensive. If it's a crank I bet you could grind it or get a used one in good shape if it's toast. You'll have a good motor when you are done!

Getting the garage cleaned back up now. I'll dive in and let you guys know what I find. I guess Ill start with removing the crank.
