more like head gasket if it is white. Are you low on coolant?

Alright - I finally got the time to take my SMIC off..
I found this...

this was what came out almost immediately. It was still dripping out a while ago when i was checking on it.
I took off the pancake pipe - that was full of oil as well.

Earlier today - while accelerating pretty hard I had a bunch of smoke come out. But again, as with before, if i disconnect the maf sensor, it no longer has the smoke problem..

SO - what does the oil in the SMIC mean?? turbo??
Could i be facing two problems of a different sort here? MAF and Turbo problems??

help appreciated!!

Can i keep driving the car like this?? Or will it hurt it to continue??

SO I have read all over on the Vortex - everyone says oil in the intercooler is fine and normal - can anyone support this statement??? its got me concerned =)
My turbo does whine now, but im not sure if its because of the CAI i installed or not... hmm??
thanks a lot guys =)

Yes, some oil is normal. If your IC has never been checked I would say it's leftover/old and the amount you got out is normal. Your CAI will def. increase turbo spool noise. If you are worried, put your old intake back on and compare the noise.

Like I said earlier you could pull the intake side and see if you can wiggle the turbo shaft - if you have excessive play then your turbo bearings are out of spec and it would explain the excessive oil in your IC (it also could be old oil that has never been drained from the IC). The next step would be to have the turbo rebuilt or replaced.

Now about your boost pressure, here's a pressure test link - the vortex is great for reference:

Personally I would use PVC, but the can works too. Put it all back together and pressure test it --- don't go over 20PSI!

You should also have clamps at all junction points where the charge pipes meet or join up - nothing should be just pushed together. So if you are missing a clamp you are probably losing boost there.

Where would you go to buy a new turbo?? how about where to go to have it rebuilt??
Would it be worth stepping up to a Ko4 If its purely just bolt ons??
