i think it just occasionally screws up, it ran fine when it would start up, the problem was getting it started.

well its fixed and in perfect running condition again.
unfortunataly it cost me $590 to figure out the problem and get it fixed. the bills and fixes are really starting to outweigh the benefits of owning a rado. i've owned the car for 2.5 months and have already spent half the price of the car in fixes. fiance' wants me to part with it and get something newer and cheaper to fix but the closest vw dealer is 4 hours away so owning a new gti will be kind of out of the question too (even though we could afford it). life is sucking right now, i just blew almost my entire paycheck i got on my car AGAIN. contemplating selling it now for like $6k? we'll have to see.....

You can't own a Corrado and not do the work yourself. Your $590 fix could have been $50 if you did it yourself.

And selling a Rado for $6k will be harder than the upkeep on it I hate to say.

well the car has been sitting outside not starting for about 2 days now, talked to some buddies and have the "dreaded Relay 109" ordered. we'll see if that is what was making my car not start. fingures crossed

most of it was diagnostic pay, i will be very angry to pay 600 to find out it was a $20 part in the end that i changed myself. lol, if it works then i won't be sending it down the road anytime soon. but it has to work.

yeah that 590 was diagnostics pay, but if they were fuckin wrong you shouldnt have to pay! i would try to get at least half that back! rados arent that difficult to work on, just get a bentley manual and start troubleshooting when an issue comes along, soon enough youll know every nook and cranny of that thing!
