Take note tho, unimogers VR mk2 does it better than most! such a sick, well thought out little machine!

Be prepared, the 16v aba is a fuckin monster! you will love it. I gave my neighbor a ride, and hes a pilot, he told me its like accelerating to take off in a plane, but faster! on only 4.4 psi :) as i was raping mine around the neighborhood last-night..... i kept thinking to myself how i wished the exhaust note had a soul like the VR6 does....... it sounds pretty good, it just will never be the same. either way, i cant wait to see your progress! if you have any questions about the ABA16VT, give me a shout, i know its ins and outs.

Alright, I wanna do a VR6 swap for now. When I get back from deployment I'll probably go turbo. Anyways, my question is... Does anyone have a VR swap laying around? (I've been searching, but I have such a small window of time when I get home) Let me know guys! Thank you, TJ

I've looked around, but I don't wanna go to far from MT cause I'll only have a 30 day window of leave to complete the project. Any leads on a swap would be awesome! I know BSE is way more helpful than the tex.. haha

Find the hard stuff first. Track down the passat/raddo (NON-ABS) parts before the donor if you have a short window. You need the pedal cluster and brake booster bracket on the opposite side of the firewall to accommodate the hydraulic clutch. Also from the passat/raddo you want the front subframe under the radiator and the shifter box (must remove down pipe to access). After getting the pedal cluster fitted you can bolt the motor with kframe attached directly to the mk2 and then install the front subframe from the saat.
It's not how fast you go. It's how well you go fast.

I hate ebay, but may have to source some parts from there. Anyways, I'm off to make my list from the swap forums.. I got some more pics sent of the car (dirty) so I'll post those up to keep the thread "alive" as much as possible while I'm over seas.

Can anyone take a stab at what rims are on my GTI? Anyway, they're going on my Fathers rabbit and Some Axis OG San are going in place (Look like BBS) I won't buy BBS rims cause I'd kick myself if one got messed up. This is gonna be a driver.. So it only makes sense. And for 160 bucks a piece they can't be beat.
