Re: B5.5 Daily driver
Sounds like it...maybe the TIP is cracked and split, or maybe a clamp is simply loose. Look into making a boost tester from PVC parts, it's easy and it helps a lot when there's boost tube issues.

Re: B5.5 Daily driver
I'm gonna start on one of those boost testers. The TIP(thats the one from the airbox to turbo right?) had a tear under the clamping area where it connects to the airbox, maybe that tear got bigger. I have a new one on the way. There is a new belly pan on the way too, $190 with all hardware and brackets, ouch.

Yep the TIP is the turbo intlet pipe. You could pick up a silicone replacement on eBay or get a Samco, they won't be much more than the OEM replacement. Also a thought on the belly pan, the OEM will just get torn off again, and for $40 more you can go with the Evolution Thor belly pan:

I picked mine up through a group buy on Euro Addiction:

5 years ago an OEM belly pan was $50 at the dealership, talk about inflation. I'm putting a Thor belly pan on my wishlist.

Re: B5.5 Daily driver
Got my order changed, canceled the oem belly pan and ordered the Thor. It cost me the same amount, good lookin out thanks
. The thor had free shipping, the shipping on the stock stuff with all the parts was the same price. Looks like it will be well worth it. Unfortunately this order tapped me out and couldnt get the silicone boot.

Re: B5.5 Daily driver
I was priming some panels for someone last night and between coats decided to take another quick look under the ssat for any more damage. Nothing that I'm finding on the engine side of things, but i noticed that there is a tear in the flex joint in the down pipe(explains the louder motor). That rock is turning into a very expensive rock
