Idle Issue/Ignition Timing Sensor

I think it could be a CTS too, my knock sensors are really worn to the point that the all the insulation is gone.

The other day while running the car for a bit I noticed that the Idle Stabilizer Valve was REALLY hot, so hot that it burned to touch it. Is that normal?

Nice! Love the shirt, it was a gift.

I am cleaning and diagnosing the harness right now. Their are a lot of compromised wires, considering the damage i think it would be worth it to replace it.

If i were you I'd dump the cis-motronic altogether. buy a 16v fuel rail and convert it to aba motronic. plug and play into your fuse box too. Hell, just do a vr6 swap and leave all your troubles behind with skidkmarks.

Perhaps... if it were the most beautiful thing, then your gli's wouldn't have had vr's and 1.8t's put in them

its true a healthy valver is something to behold, most dubbers probably havent witnessed an awesome running one. i would look further into the ISV they should be warm but not hot per se, heat soaked maybe.

Yeah.... Vr swap I did was on a 1.8 16v not the 2.0. I drive the 20v swap all the time yearning for that valver. Loads of power is great, but part of its soul was compromised with the removal of the valver. I may even put it back in someday.

Great suggestions! I have to agree that valvers are something special

Rebuilding an oem harness is almost outdated, with more people going mil-spec. MAkes me wonder if their would be a market for aftermarket looms ..
