I did replace the rear passengers bearing and races. Removed the cassette player/radio and put in an older CD player/radio. Actually sounds pretty good
This weekend I started the process of swapping my Scirocco steering wheel into this Caddy, from my 1980.
I may have another person interested in the 1980 Caddy. Which would help fund suspension, axle flip, and wheels for the 1982.
Would like to get setup with something like this (16" snowflake content) :

Yeah it's time to work on it. Glad it's getting warmer out now.
Wheel swapped out. I actually had to drop the column a because I also swapped the trim on the steering column to match.
I realized I never really did much, other than a quick wash, after Wade and I rescued it. So I started going through it last night and found a couple of issues.
One, it overheats. If I manually kick on the fan, it cools down. Water pump is flowing, but I think it's time for a new radiator.
Two, I have a leak at the intake gasket, where it meets the head. Not sure if it's just not torqued down, but I am getting some unmetered air. When I spray some carb cleaner at the intake gasket, I get revs and a little sputtering. And it idles a bit higher than I like.
Three, I can't seem to find timing marks. But I'm pretty certain it was advanced quite a bit. I retarded the timing on the distributor and it runs smoother and the idle dropped a bit.
Still needs dialed in.
Any thoughts on the intake gasket, guys?

Use the cam to locate tdc? I like to use my white paint pen on the timing mark.
You know you are gonna pull that manifold.

There should be a hole with a plug in it on top of the transmission for the crankshaft timing mark.

With another project looming closer, it's time to get this Caddy up to par. Clutch, kit and injector seals are on the bench and ready to install.
No pictures of the injector seals...those are pretty straightforward and swapped out pretty quickly.
Time to dig into the clutch.
Transmission pulled...what's all the metal in the bell housing??
Hmm, broken clutch disc
So, where did all that end up?
Here it is...lol
Here's a quick video of me pulling the pressure plate and clutch disc:
UPLOADING NOW
And that's it for now - digging into the trans and reassembly is up next!

That's what you get with all those 5000rpm clutch dumps to do sick burnouts at every stoplight.
