I've been debating about searching for a 2nd Gen myself, 22re goes forever or so I hear. I've been following this, super shitty to hear about your garage fire dude. I've been on Subarus for awhile, but just picked up a 3rd Gen 4Runner 3.4 after the subie EJ25D motor went.

If you are really looking I might know a guy that has one. How do you like the 3.4? Okay power? Decent to work or?

My girl has a 3.4 in her tacoma. It's a really amazing engine! decent power too. Doesn't seem very bad to work on either. Though nothing is compared to some audi's and vw's...
